Renwick Sports & Events Centre is situated in the heart of the most spectacular vineyards and wineries in Marlborough, New Zealand. Located just ten minutes drive from Blenheim, and one and a quarter hours easy journey from Nelson.
Our multi-functional building is the perfect venue for weddings, fundraising events, anniversaries, and corporate dinners. It offers top conference facilities with audiovisual equipment for hire. Renwick Sports & Events Centre caters for small club meetings as easily as for large gatherings of up to 150 people.
French doors open to wide balconies where you can enjoy balmy summer evenings looking north to the stunning Kaituna Ranges, or take advantage of the bar facilities while watching winter sports from the comfort of the viewing lounge.
We are home to the Renwick Rugby Football Club, Renwick Marching Club, Renwick Soccer Club, Renwick Cricket Club, and REAP Outpost.
The Centre is built on the site of the original Renwick Rugby Football Club rooms and is situated on the Marlborough District Council owned reserve on Uxbridge Street that comprises of over nine hectares of cricket, rugby and soccer playing fields.
The Renwick Bowling Club and Renwick Tennis Club and Renwick Volunteer Fire Brigade are sited on the boundary of the reserve and the various Marching Clubs of all ages use the grounds for practice. A skate park completes the diverse range of activities available at the Renwick recreational reserve.
The building comprises of eight changing rooms with attached shower and toilet facilities, a referees/first aid room and tuck shop on the ground floor, with a social/training area, meeting room/office, bar, commercial kitchen, toilet amenities and three exterior viewing decks on the first floor.
We aim to introduce a wide range of recreational programmes and activities guaranteed to appeal to the residential community. If there is something you’d like to see happening here just let us know and we’ll do our best to turn your wishes into reality.
Due to the rapid growth of Renwick town and its contributing valleys, it is anticipated that additions will be made to the Centre in the future.
As a community facility, we would like to hear your views as to what additions could be made to the building and the surrounds, eg fitness centre, fitness trail, new children’s playground.
